4" wide, sold by the foot. Couldn't resist this stuff, looks real but I can't tell. It's 4" wide and stiff. The mossy looking stuff is glued/attached to a stiff backing that can be sewn through. It's a little crumbly so I'd recommend spraying it with something to help keep it together. I thought this would be great for an altered book cover or even a small piece put into a niche as a background or ground cover in a diorama. 
Orders of more than 1ft. will be cut in 1 foot pieces, since it's easier to ship in smaller pieces
