About Madrat Rubber

Welcome to MadRat Rubber.
This site is owned & operated by myself, I'm head artist, web designer, researcher, troubleshooter, & shipping department. I'm assisted by my trusty feline sidekick Asia (who mostly sleeps in the chair) & I live in a small town in New Mexico with my husband and three other cats. I build mixed-media boxes, small cabinets & shrines and I'm a photographer. I've been inspired to start this little company by the creativity of stampers & collage artists & by my need for stamps & materials to use in my own projects. The stamps I offer are available mounted & unmounted, deep etched red rubber. I've put together a selection of images, some of which are my own drawings and/or photographs but most are vintage which I've culled from various sources. My taste runs from classical to contemporary, sublime to mundane & metaphysical to scientific with an emphasis on the unusual. Something for just about everyone.

I originally began with just um stamps & a few supplies but now my offerings include mounted & unmounted stamps along with an ever growing list of materials & supplies for the mixed-media artist. I'm always on the lookout for interesting things I can use in my own artwork and as I find them I'll add it to my inventory. I hope you'll find lots of things to inspire you to return often. I am an Angel company so you may use my stamps on items for resale providing the images are
hand stamped and not mechanically or electronically reproduced. Exceptions made for hand-pulled prints i.e.: etchings etc. or prints of artwork, like collages, created using my stamps, in small limited editions. I consider my stamps to be tools & expect them to be used in the process of making art. Contact me if you have any questions or would like permission for a special project.

Due to differences in monitor settings, I haven't tried to post the images to reflect exact sizes, please go by the measurements I've provided under each image. The print catalog will show the images to actual size.
